Gary is a talent sourcing expert with over 10 years’ experience in talent acquisition, talent sourcing and talent hunting. He has held various leadership roles at Mindcor, Executive Choice, Cartrack, and Talent Search Africa; sourcing scarce talent for leading companies across the African continent. Gary has a Bcom and is an MBA graduate from GIBS. Recently, he was the Global Talent Acquisition and Development Executive at Karooooo, a global NASDAQ and JSE listed technology company.

Mokhine is a highly accomplished entrepreneur and director with extensive experience in a broad range of industries, including Fleet Management, IT, textiles and telecoms. As the founder and MD of Nokatechs, Mokhine has successfully established a fibre network infrastructure across Southern Africa, and has recently been selected as a certified reseller for MTN. Develop a Job Description
We start by requesting a clear and detailed job description from our client. The Job Description will need to clearly articulate the job requirements, qualifications, skills, and responsibilities. This will help identify the type of candidate we’re looking for and will be a useful reference throughout the recruitment process.
Create a Recruitment Plan
Once we’ve determined the type of candidate you’re looking for, we’ll create a recruitment plan that outlines the steps taken to source and recruit the perfect candidate.
Source Candidates
There are a variety of ways to source candidates, we use our own proprietary sourcing techniques. In addition, we will also use job postings, referrals, job boards, and social media.
Screen Candidates
Once we’ve identified a pool of potential candidates, we use a screening process to narrow down the list to the most qualified applicants.
Interview Candidates
Once we’ve identified the top candidates, we conduct interviews to get to know them better and assess their qualifications.
Make an Offer

Define the Role
The first step in our executive search process is to define the role that needs to be filled. This includes engaging with the key stakeholders to define the job title, the job responsibilities, the required qualifications, and the desired skills.
Research the Market
Once the role has been defined, the next step is to research the market to identify potential candidates. This includes researching industry trends, competitor organizations, and potential candidates.
Develop a Target List
After researching the market, our team will develop a target list of potential candidates. This list should include both internal and external candidates.
Source Candidates
Once the target list has been developed, we will begin to source potential candidates. This includes our proprietary sourcing techniques as well as using industry contacts, networks, social media, job boards, and other sources to identify potential candidates.
Screen Candidates
After sourcing potential candidates, the executive search firm will then screen the candidates to ensure that they meet the criteria for the role. This includes conducting telephone interviews and reviewing resumes.
Interview Candidates
After screening the candidates, will then conduct in-person interviews with the most qualified candidates. This includes conducting competency-based interviews and assessing the candidates’ skills and qualifications.
Reference Checks
Once a shortlist of candidates has been identified, we will conduct reference checks to verify the candidates’ qualifications and experience.
Make an Offer
After conducting the reference checks, we will give input to our client assisting with their drafting of an offer to the most qualified candidate. The offer will be based on our clients remuneration policy; typically includes a competitive salary, benefits package, and other incentives.
Negotiate Terms
After making the offer, we will negotiate the terms of the offer with the candidate. This includes discussing salary, benefits, and other terms of the offer.
Onboarding
Once the terms of the offer have been negotiated, the executive search firm will then assist the candidate with the onboarding process. We will provide the candidate with necessary information about the company, introduce the candidate to relevant colleagues and providing orientation materials.
